Abstrak

The Economic Transformation of Media in Indonesia. The economic transformation of media in Indonesia has become a subject of increasing concern, especially with the rapid penetration of digital technology in the country. This article aims to delve deeper into the economic changes occurring in the Indonesian media industry, with a focus on datafication and media monopolies. Using a descriptive analysis approach, this article discusses how traditional and new media in Indonesia are responding to the digital revolution. It examines changes in media consumption patterns, media business structures, and the relationships between media, advertisers, and audiences. The findings indicate that the economic transformation of media in Indonesia creates a complex stage, where there is tension between technological advances and unique local contexts. The conclusion of this article presents several policy recommendations and business strategies to support sustainable growth and media pluralism in this digital era.
